Fresh & Water Collection Discovery Pack

I used to be a huge fan of cosy aromas before the company got sold. Their melts were incredible then. But the new owners took over and they didn’t have an easy time of it due to previous owners changing their scent oils, they moved to cardboard packaging and hard snap melts instead of their incredible soft oily scent filled plastic tubs. Cardboard just was badly made not enough protection on the cardboard to stop the oil from the scent seeping into cardboard which meant mostly melts that had no scent when being melted. Anyway truly felt sorry for new owners they have big plans they actually listened to us customers despite some nasty comments over quality which had nothing to do with new owners. They have now brought back the plastic pods it’s taken them so long to do this bless them. Also I don’t know if it’s still going to happen but they were on about having big scoopable soft melts like Cosy did originally. So I stoped buying from them because it was money being wasted as there liferally was no scent. I had a look a few weeks ago and was so excited seeing all those plastic pods back and also the sets I’m reviewing and what a fabulous idea this is so you choose which you want so I chose this box and they put little tester pots in of all the melts in that scent family. Despite being a customer of original cosy aromas there were hundreds of scents to choose from it became hard to choose as so many, so I tended to stick with what I liked and maybe I’d add one that I’ve never tried or I’d buy a mystery box and find new favourites that way. But this way the new cosy are doing is a game changer if you struggle to choose what to buy on a limited budget. Just choose the scent family I.e. perfumes and you get the scents of the perfume set delivered in truly beautiful packaging. To say I was excited was an understatement. But here is the not brilliant part which I hate doing this but I was disappointed with most of them the scent was very weak on cold sniff which sometimes dosent mean you’ll get a poor scent throw and longevity when you melt. However most of them were actually very poor hardly any scent throw could not even smell it in my lounge where I was melting it. And within 2hrs all scent that came of my electric halogen melter was a warm wax scent. So as I still have a huge cupboard full of original cosy wax melts I went through them and found the same scent so I cleaned my melter out put that one on and even cold sniff the scent was strong the wax was buttery soft feeling you can actually feel the oil in the wax. Within a minute of it melting and I made sure it was same amount also the scent filled my lounge and spread through my flat and for me if it can reach out into the communal hallway of our block of flats it’s a winner and it didn’t fail. Something has definitely changed wether and I suspect it’s different oils that are not as good quality, also the wax isn’t that soft oily wax it’s harder. There were a couple I really liked even those the strength wasn’t there and longevity they just don’t last more than a couple of hours. And I know it’s nothing to do with my melter as I buy from another company whose melts are so strong longevity is incredible I get 2days of melting from one little pot and it fills my flat communal hallway and up the stairs. The price cosy charge for a tub of wax is very expensive for the poor quality. I absolutely hate writing harsh reviews especially with cosy the new owners and Jo truly are lovely and she really didn’t deserve the nasty comments she got it wasn’t her fault. And I know there will be more positivity coming. I will still buy the other sample boxes because you never know until you try. I’ll buy sample ones for now. Just I can’t justify spending the price of a pot of wax. And I do love the plastic pots are back. Please when reading this don’t be out of it’s just my own honest opinion at the moment is all. Jo and the team are absolutely incredible they do truly care and do listen so I truly hope things will get even better and continue to grow for them. Jo you have worked so hard as have the team. Please don’t take my comment negatively it simply me being honest and as fair as I can be. I’ll still be buying from you I’ll never stop loving Cosy just wish the wax was how lt used to be. I shall be ordering the next sample box in couple of weeks honestly these are a game changer I’ve found scents I liked and will by them. These are scents that I would of scrolled past so please keep these going genius idea.
